“Vucji wine cellar” from Sombor is a young family winery founded in 2012. Vuk Vujko is a graduate engineer of fruit and viticulture, and he combined his love towards wine and art with knowledge and experience, and thus offered all wine lovers a remarkable melody of divine tastes, sophisticated colors and flavours, as well as artistic experience. This family vineyard is located in the area of Sombor, in a small village called Backi Monostor, which is a part of Backi viticultural region.
The wines from our cellar are adorned not only with exceptional and recognizable quality and rich bouquets, but also with labels inspired by the works of famous painters from Sombor. Wine is not alcohol... it is art in a bottle, and what better way to complete the story of art than with the works of great artists like Milan Konjović, Sava Stojkov, Pavle Blesić... An old Roman proverb says: 'To know a nation, sit at its table, taste its food, and drink its wine, then you will know what kind of people they are.' Guided by this proverb, the best way to get to know Sombor and its people is to enjoy the Sombor wines from 'Vučji podrum' (Wolf's Cellar) and the works of Sombor painters.
